C. Geoffrey Hampson, Chairman and CEO
Mr. Hampson joined Live Current in June 2007. He has been a Founder, President and CEO of many successful start-up and operating companies over the last 25 years. Mr. Hampson was CEO and President of PEER 1 Network Enterprises, Inc., an Internet infrastructure company from 2001 through to 2006. During his leadership of PEER 1, the company grew from a small local player with annual revenues of approximately $250,000 to one of the largest in the industry, with annual revenues of more than $60 million and data centers and network points of presence in 14 cities across North America and in Europe. Mr. Hampson was the Founder and CEO of Novocon International Inc., a manufacturer of fiber products for composite reinforcement until Synthetic Industries acquired it in 1997. Mr. Hampson holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Carat Exploration Inc. and Pacific Rodera Energy Inc.
Mark Melville, President & Chief Corporate Development Officer
Mr. Melville joined Live Current on January 1, 2008. He was previously at the Monitor Group, one of the worlds premier strategic consulting and investment firms. While at Monitor, Mr. Melville worked directly with senior executives of F500 companies on a range of strategic initiatives and co-led Monitor's West Coast technology practice. Prior to joining Monitor, Mr. Melville was CEO of SteelTrace, a leading provider of business process and requirements management software. Mr. Melville sold SteelTrace to Compuware Corporation in 2006. Prior to SteelTrace, Mr. Melville was the Vice President of Corporate Development at MobShop, a pioneer in Online Commerce. Prior to MobShop Mr. Melville was a senior member of Exchange.com, a leading player in the Online marketplace space. Exchange.com was sold to Amazon.com in 1999. Mr. Melville holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business, a Masters in Public Administration degree from Harvard's JFK School of Government and an Honors BComm in Finance from the University of British Columbia.

James. P. Taylor, Audit Committee Chairman
Mr. Taylor has served on our Board of Directors since July 2007. He is currently the CFO of Lakewood Engineering and Manufacturing Company in Chicago, IL. Previously, Mr. Taylor was Chief Financial Officer of PEER 1 Network Enterprises, Inc., an Internet infrastructure company from 2001 through to 2006. Mr. Taylor was responsible for the IPO of PEER 1 and managed several equity and debt financings as well as a major recapitalization. Under his management the Company raised over $50M in new financings. He also conducted the financial review and due diligence on two major transformational acquisitions. Prior to working at PEER 1, Mr. Taylor was CFO and General Manager of Novocon International Inc., CFO of Becton Dickinson and Company, CIS Division. Mr. Taylor graduated from Indiana University with a BS - Finance/Accounting and earned his MBA in International Business and Corporate Finance from DePaul University. Mr. Taylor is a CPA and has completed several courses in Competitive Intelligence, Activity Based Costing, Process Reengineering, ISO 9000, MRP II, and Stakeholder Satisfaction.
Mark Benham
Mr. Benham has served on our Board of Directors since September 2007. He has more than 20 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Mr. Benham is a Managing Partner at Celerity Partners, a California-based private equity fund, with 19 portfolio companies and approximately $200 million of capital under management across four funds from investors that include some of the world's largest financial institutions, such as GE Capital, Credit Agricole Indosuez, and Allianz/Dresdner Bank. Prior to co-founding Celerity Partners, Mr. Benham was a Senior Investment Officer of Citicorp Venture Capital, Ltd. in New York. Prior to joining Citicorp, Mr. Benham was an advisor to Yamaichi UniVen Co., Ltd., the venture capital subsidiary of Yamaichi Securities International, with $180 million under management. From 1983-1986, he was a principal in the Merchant Banking Group of Crocker/Montague. Mr. Benham holds a B.A. degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. and M.B.A. from The University of Chicago, both with honors. Mr. Benham currently serves on the Board of Directors of several private companies.
Dr. Boris Wertz
Mr. Wertz joined our Board of Directors in March 2008. Dr. Wertz is CEO of Nexopia, the most popular social networking utility for Canadian youth, and is CEO of W Media Ventures, a Vancouver-based venture capital firm that focuses on Consumer Internet investments in close cooperation with long-term partner Burda Digital Ventures. Before founding W Media Ventures, Dr. Wertz was the Chief Operating Officer of AbeBooks.com, the world's largest online marketplace for books, which was recently sold to Amazon.com. He joined AbeBooks.com in 2002 after it acquired JustBooks, the German company he co-founded in 1999. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Suite 101, an online publishing platform, Tripsbytips.com, a German travel review site, Indochino.com, a tailormade men's suits site, TeamPages, an online league and team management tool, and Techvibes.com, a Vancouver technology community. Dr. Wertz completed his Ph. D. as well as his graduate studies at the Graduate School of Management (WHU), Koblenz, majoring in Business Economics and Business Management.
